People on social media are talking about the meteor that lit up the night sky in Wisconsin and Illinois early this morning. People say they saw a flash of bright light and heard a boom. National Weather Service meteorologist Sarah Marquardt told WFDL news the agency received reports of a bright flash at about 1:43 a.m. “We’re looking back at radar images now and we see there is a little blob all by itself just off shore of the Manitowac-Sheboygan area over Lake Michigan.” The agency also shared a video on Facebook of a bright ball of light over Plover, Wisconsin.
