2-27-17 ice shove hits fdl yacht club

The Fond Du Lac Yacht Club closed temporarily over the weekend after a huge ice shove hit the building. The club, at Lakeside Park, posted photos on its website.  The post states the building will be closed Saturday.  “We currently do not have water, gas, or power and will not likely have that until sometime tomorrow (Saturday) depending on when clean-up crews are done.”

2-27-17 fatal car vs. utility pole crash in dodge county

2-27-17 state superintendent candidate sent campaign email from school account

MADISON, Wis. 2-27-17 worst behaved drivers-aaa study

A new report from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety found that young millennials top the list of worst behaved drivers.  The report found that 88 percent of drivers ages 19-24 engaged in at least one risky behavior behind the wheel in the past 30 days.  AAA spokesman Nick Jarmusz says the dangerous behaviors, which increase crash risk, including texting while driving, red-light running and speeding.  Jarmusz says interestingly new […]

2-27-17 fdl public works crews busy fixing potholes

The Fond du Lac Public Works director says the unusual fluctuating temperatures this winter are taking a toll on city streets.  Public Works director Jordan Skiff says the freezing followed by unusually warm weather has created dozens of potholes.  Skiff says the good news is that crews have been able to repair some of the potholes already during stretches of  above normal temperatures.

2-27-17 promen drive closure this week

The Fond du lac Public Works Department says Promen Drive between Lighthouse Drive and Frazier Drive in Lakeside Park will be closed this week.   The daytime closure will begin Monday, February 27th and  remain closed until the end of the day Friday.  However the street should reopen to traffic at the end of each work day. The closure will allow a contractor to complete work near the Lakeside Park Pavilion.
