Hundreds of Fond du Lac High School choir students are singing this weekend to raise money for the Water Project and Fondy Choir Booster Parents. The first 24-hour Sing-A-Thon runs from noon Friday to noon Saturday at the high school. Fond du lac High School Choir director, Cory Schneider, says the students are raising money for a program that brings clean water to people living in Sub-Sahara Africa. “We would love to raise somewhere in the $3000 to $4000 range so with that amount of money for the water project we could bring a well to a village of 200 people in Africa,” Schneider told WFDL news. Schneider says a Mitch Miller Sing-Along will be held at 7pm Friday night. On Saturday morning a Broadway Sing-Along starts at 9:30, followed by a Disney Sing-Along. The school will be closed overnight, but the public is invited to all other performances. Admission is free, but donations are accepted either at the event or online at www.fondymusic.com. The Fondy Choir Booster parents will also be selling concessions.
