The heavy metal band Winger is coming to Fond du Lac’s Walleye Weekend. The New York band will be headlining Walleye Weekend, playing Saturday June 10th, at 8:30pm on “96.1 The Rock” Point Stage. In 1990, Winger was nominated for an American Music Award for “Best New Heavy Metal Band.” Hits off this album include “Can’t Get Enuff,” “Miles Away” and “Easy Come Easy Go.” Winger went their separate ways in 1994. They reunited in 2001 and in 2006 recorded their first studio album in over 13 years. Three years later Winger released their 5th and perhaps best studio album Karma. EVICK, who features both current and past members of the Bret Michaels Band, and an award winning songwriter, producer and author Pete Evick, will be the opening act for Winger starting at 6:00 p.m. They’ll be playing classic hits from the 80’s and 90’s.
