5-1-17 dodge county rollover crash sends two people to the hospital

A Columbus couple was injured in a two vehicle crash in Dodge County.  Hans and Mary Kubik, both 68 years old, were transported to the hospital following the crash on Highway 151 just south of County Highway DE in the town of Calamus.  The crash happened shortly before midnight Friday.  The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says a semi tractor and pickup were southbound on 151 when the semi struck the […]

5-1-17 fdl water main flushing starts monday

The City of Fond du Lac Water Utility says the bi-annual citywide water main flushing will take place this week to improve overall water quality.  The flushing will begin on Monday in the northeast section of the city.  Flushing will continue in the southeast neighborhood on Tuesday, the southwest area on Wednesday morning and finish in the northwest quadrant Wednesday afternoon.  Flushing operations will take place each day between the […]

4-29-17 fdl high school student charged with making terrorist threats

A Fond du Lac High School student accused of making threats to “shoot up the school” has been arrested.  Seventeen year old Carlos Martinez made his initial Fond du lac court appearance Friday on charges  of making terrorist threats and disorderly conduct.    Bail was set at $500 cash.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled For May 12th.  Martinez was arrested after other students overheard him allegedly make the threat outside […]

4-29-17 high school stabbing

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — A student who was stabbed at a Wisconsin high school has died from his injuries.  The 15-year-old freshman boy was stabbed Tuesday at Bradford High School in Kenosha.  The suspect, also a 15-year-old boy, is now being charged as an adult with second-degree intentional homicide.  Prior court testimony indicated the suspect brought a knife to school because he felt threatened by his classmate.
