A group of Fond du lac High School sports and entertainment marketing students is helping Fond du Lac’s newest baseball team kick off their inaugural season. The students have been working with local businesses and the Northwoods League Dock Spiders to organize and promote Family Day. High School senior Emily Ziegler says it was the class’s final project of the school year. “We really want to bring out younger kids in the community, get them involved and bring something new,” Ziegler said. Kaylee Farrell says the event will be held on Sunday June 4th at Herr-Baker Field. “We will be having face-painting,. With every ticket purchase you will get a free t-shirt, and the police officers will be coming out for fast pitch.” The police department will have its radar equipment to test how fast you can throw a baseball.
