5-30-17 i-41 crash in fdl slows traffic

An accident on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac slowed traffic Monday afternoon.  The two vehicle crash happened shortly after 3pm Monday on southbound 41 at Highway 151.   Nobody was injured.  Southbound 41 traffic was reduced to one lane until the accident scene was cleared shortly after 5:30pm Monday.

5-30-17 assembly committee to vote on uw free speech bill

An Assembly committee plans to vote Tuesday on a revised bill that would punish students who disrupt speakers.  Rep. Jesse Kremer amended his bill Friday after critics said it was too vague.  The amended bill limits punishable behavior to violence or other disorderly conduct that disrupts free speech. A Fond du Lac man was safely rescued after getting stuck on his roof.  Firefighters were called to the scene at 164 E. ELM GROVE, Wis. (AP) — Three people were injured when show ponies pulling a wagon in a Memorial Day parade in southeastern Wisconsin rushed onto a crowded sidewalk. Authorities say a 9-year-old boy and a 58-year-old woman who were struck by the carriage Monday in Elm Grove were taken to a hospital.
