A North Fond du Lac man has been convicted of child abuse for severely injuring a toddler. A Fond du Lac jury recently found Jason Schifelbine guilty of Physical Abuse Of A Child: Intentionally Causing Great Bodily Harm. In August of 2014 an unconscious 13 month old child was flown by Flight for Life helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee. A forensic pediatrician testified at trial that the injuries sustained by the child were highly unusual and provided strong indications of suspected child abuse. Judge Gary Sharpe ordered a presentence investigation.
