Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue is reminding residents to think safety first this Fourth of July holiday.  Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says as a rule of thumb, if a fireworks explodes or leaves the ground, its illegal.  Haase says illegal fireworks, like bottle rockets for example, can start a fire if they land on the roof of a house.  In 2015, 11 Wisconsin residents were hospitalized and more than 100 visited emergency departments due to fireworks-related injuries.
