7-29-17 area unemployment rate up

The unemployment rate is up locally in the latest reporting period.  The state Department of Workforce Development says the Dodge County unemployment rate increased from 2.5 percent in May to 3.1 percent in June.  The Fond du Lac County jobless rate jumped from 2.4 to 3.1 percent.  In the city of Fond du Lac the June unemployment rate stands at 3.3 percent…up eight tenths of a percent from May.

7-29-17 military road closure starts monday

The Fond du Lac Public Works Department says a portion of Military Road will be closed for the rest of the summer starting Monday.  Military Road between Seymour Street and Pioneer Road will be closed as construction work continues on the Military and Pioneer Road project.  The closure will prohibit motorists from accessing locations on Military Road south of Seymour Street.  The closure is expected to last 60 days.

7-29-17 drowning victim identified

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has identified a drowning victim in a residential swimming pool in Campbellsport.   Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to the village of Campbellsport Thursday night and recovered a 36-year-old female from the 5’ deep pool.   Resuscitation efforts were successful in gaining a pulse and Jessica Meyer was ultimately transported to St. Agnes Medical Center.  Her condition was not […]
