7-6-17 fatal industrial accident at michels corporation

A fatal industrial accident this afternoon at Michels Corporation in Brownsville is under investigation.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt  said the accident happened when when an employee of  a sub-contractor of Michels Corporation (All Tools, LLC of Fond du Lac) was cleaning pipes.  One of the pipes fell off a jack and slid into the victim causing fatal injuries.  Schmidt says the 20 year old man was pronounced dead at […]

(AP) — Wisconsin health officials say the state's Medicaid budget will finish the 2015-17 biennium $325 million in the black.  The Department of Health Services sent a letter June 30 to the leaders of the Legislature's finance committee saying the budget is expected to finish fiscal year 2017 with a balance of $325 million. (AP) — A state appeals court says Wisconsin's $750,000 cap on noneconomic damages in medical malpractice cases is unconstitutional.  The case centers on Ascaris Mayo, who lost all her limbs after doctors didn't inform her she was suffering from an infection. 7-6-17 oshkosh suspicious death

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Oshkosh police have arrested a man in connection with a suspicious death.  Police say they were notified of a body being inside an Oshkosh residence and authorities obtained a search warrant shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday. Police discovered the body of an adult woman.  A 38-year-old Oshkosh man was arrested at the scene for hiding a corpse and bail jumping. He was taken to jail.   […]
