PHILLIPS, Wis. 7-3-17 crash backs up traffic on i-41 in fdl

There were no serious injuries in a one vehicle crash that backed up traffic on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac.  The crash happened shortly after 10am Monday on southbound 41 near Highway 151 when the driver lost control,  spun out and hit the median.  The crash scene was cleared about an hour later.  The State Patrol is investigating the crash.   The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office assisted […]

Fireworks shows are being held in a number of area communities Tuesday evening.  In Fond du Lac,  the fireworks show starts at dusk over Lake Winnbago at Lakeside Park.  The Fond du Lac Symphonic Band will perform patriotic songs starting at 7:30pm.  Fireworks shows are also being held Tuesday evening at Fireman’s Park in Campbellsport, Deacon Mills Park in Green Lake and Murray Park in Ripon.

7-3-17 staff assaults at two wisconsin correctional facilities

State Department of Corrections officials are investigating two reported staff assaults at correctional institutions over the weekend.  Sources told WFDL news  an officer was assaulted by a 15 year old inmate at the Lincoln Hills School for Boys in Irma  Saturday.  The officer was transported to the hospital for treatment of a concussion.   Sources says the Green Bay Correctional Institution was placed in lockdown Saturday after an inmate struck […]

7-3-17 fdl police investigating marathon gas station robbery

Fond du lac police are investigating two robberies over the holiday weekend.  Police say the Marathon Metro Quick Mart at 281 South Main Street was robbed Saturday night.  Police say a man armed with a weapon entered the business and demanded money.  He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  Anyone with information  is asked to call police.  Police say two people were arrested Friday afternoon after a robbery  […]
