OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — A seaplane hit a "large wave" and overturned while trying to take off near a huge aviation convention in Wisconsin, killing one person from Minnesota and critically injuring another. A spokesman for the Experimental Aircraft Association says the six-seat Lake Renegade was going about 80 mph when it crashed into Lake Winnebago Thursday night. Sheriff Identifies Waupaca County Teen Killed by Accidental Gunshot

7-28-17 Waupun Hires Rasch as New Deputy Chief of Police

The Waupun Police department officially has a new deputy chief of police. Jeremy Rasch was unanimously approved by the Waupun Police and Fire Commission this week, filling the vacancy left when Scott Louden was named the new chief. Rasch has been with the department for 15 years, starting in 2002. Recruitment will now begin for the police lieutenant position, which was Rasch’s previous role with the department.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin's deal with electronics giant Foxconn requires the state Legislature to pass a $3 billion incentive package no later than Sept. 30. Gov. A 36-year-old Campbellsport woman was rushed to the hospital yesterday after she as found unresponsive in a swimming pool.
