North Fond du Lac High School will not be fielding a football team this season.
The announcement comes after the school’s Athletic Director says numbers on the team were down heading into the season, and the decision was made in the interest of safety to younger players who would be forced into playing bigger opponents too quickly.
Officials say the school will still field a JV team, and hope to move those games to Friday night.
