A former nurse at the Waupun Correctional Institution is pleading “not guilty” to one felony count of Delivering Illegal Articles to an inmate.
Amy Gunderson is facing up to three and a half years in prison if convicted.
According to the criminal complaint, staff at the prison noticed an inmate had multiple letters from Gunderson containing explicit material.
The man also admitted to having received materials from the woman, and said the two were discussing an escape plan.
Gunderson admits to exchanging the letters, but says she never snuck anything in for the inmate.
