MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A former aide to Gov. Scott Walker has lost an appeal of a federal court ruling rejecting her lawsuit alleging that prosecutors in the now-closed John Doe investigation overstepped their constitutional authority.  The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday rejected the appeal filed by Cindy Archer. 8-30-17 funeral homes and cemeteries court ruling

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin appeals court has upheld the state's ban on joint ownership of cemeteries and funeral homes.  The decision Tuesday from the 2nd District Court of Appeals comes in the case of a New Berlin cemetery that wants to add a funeral home. Charges have been amended  for a Beaver Dam man accused of sexually assaulting a child in Fond du Lac County.  At a hearing in Fond du Lac County circuit court, charges against 20 year old  Andrew Twardokus were amended to three counts of exposing a child to harmful material. 8-30-17 fbi offering reward for triple homicide at wi racetrack

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information that will help authorities investigating a triple homicide earlier this month in southeastern Wisconsin.  Three Illinois men were shot and killed on Aug. 13 during a drag racing event in the town of Paris. 8-30-17 hwy 175 crash victim identified

The names of the victims of a fatal two vehicle crash south of Fond du Lac this week have been released.  The state patrol says 62 year old Ruilao Guo from Salinas California died at St. Agnes Hospital.  Guo was the driver of a semi that failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by 24 year old Dylan Merrill Langhoff of Fond du Lac.  […]

8-29-17 wi dnr secretary accepts job with epa

Wisconsin DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp is stepping down to accept a position with the EPA.  Governor Scott Walker says Stepp has accepted an appointment with the Environmental Protection Agency as the deputy administrator for Region 7.   Stepp has been the Wisconsin DNR secretary since 2011.  Walker appointed DNR Deputy Secretary Kurt Thiede to serve as interim secretary effective August 31, 2017.
