A former Fond du Lac school board member has been killed and her husband, a Fond du Lac attorney, was critically injured in a rollover crash in Montana. Seventy three year old Mimi Sager died Monday afternoon following the crash on Interstate 94 in Montana. Her husband, 73 year old Steve Sager, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. According to the Montana Highway Patrol Mimi Sager was driving when the car struck a guardrail in the eastbound lane of Interstate 94 near Fallon in Prairie County. Sager was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car when it rolled over, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Steve Sager was a passenger and was taken to Glendive Medical Center. The Highway Patrol says no other vehicles were involved in the crash, which was reported at 1:15 p.m Monday. Sager served on the Fond du Lac School Board from 1986 to 1998. Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says Sager was “someone who meant a great deal to the community, Fond du Lac School District, kids and staff.”
