A spokesman for Wisconsin Emergency Management says some National Guard troops activated to assist relief and recovery efforts in Florida may not actually be deployed. While some troops are already in Florida, Emergency Management spokesman Tod Pritchard says others are on stand by. “That initial search and rescue that we were fearing we would have to respond to is less than an issue than we thought,” Pritchard told WFDL news. Pritchard says some search and rescue efforts in Florida have been scaled back.
