9-29-17 father-daughter found dead in town of empire home

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s  Office  has released the names of two people found dead at their town of  Empire home Friday.   Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says the victims have been identified as 62 year old Dr. Mark Whitmore and his 27 year old daughter Julia Whitmore.  Dr. Whitmore was an internal medicine physician with Agnesian HealthCare.  Agnesian spokesperson Shelly Haberman says Dr. Whitmore began practicing in Fond du Lac at the Sharpe Clinic in 1993. Investigators are not releasing the cause of death or what may have led up to the deaths.  Waldschmidt says shortly before 8am Friday a home healthcare worker dialed 911 after finding the body of her client inside the home.  Waldschmidt says emergency personnel entered the home where they found the bodies.  Waldschmidt says he can’t say at this point if  it was a murder- suicide, but says the sheriff’s office is not looking for any suspects  and the public is not in danger.
