Fond du Lac County is moving forward with plans to build a new highway garage. The county board this week will consider a resolution authorizing county officials to proceed with the design, bidding and construction of a new main Highway Garage complex near the intersection of Highway 151 and Hickory Road. County executive Al Buechel says the nearly 40 acre site would also incorporate parks, and senior services. “The primary reason we’re building this is the Highway garage, but right now we have Sheriff’s impound, there’s Senior Services, we have their vehicles at the county garage, as well as parks maintenance,” Buechel told WFDL news.
