A fundraiser is being held this weekend to help breast cancer mastectomy patients. Breast cancer survivor Karen Jo Dobyns is organizing the Bags for Bags Plus Scarves fundraiser. Dobyns says all of the money raised from the sale of donated scarves and purses will go toward the purchase of a necessities bag with personal care items for mastectomy patients. Dobyns was diagnosed three years ago with breast cancer. After undergoing treatment Dobyns is cancer free. She recommends all women get a mammogram no matter how old they are. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21 and 22, at the First Weber office.
