The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is taking public comments on the proposed four lane expansion of state Highway 23 between Fond du lac and Plymouth. The public comments are part of the DOT effort to update the Environmental Impact Statement relating to the project. Comments can be submitted electronically to bryan.lipke@dot.wi.gov or by mail and are due by Sunday November 12. The project has been on hold for several years due to a legal challenge from an environmental group which suggests the four-lane expansion of Highway 23 is not needed.
