An elderly Ripon woman has been charged with improper animal shelter sanitation after she was found living in a van with ten dogs and a cat. Seventy year old Marion Kaiser was released on a signature bond after making her initial Fond du lac court appearance Tuesday. According to a criminal complaint an officer responded to an apartment complex on Metomen Street after receiving a report that a van had been parked there for some time with animals inside. The officer said there was trash strewn throughout and an overpowering odor of animal feces and urine inside the van. Kaiser told police she was living inside the van with her pets, which included four newborn puppies. The dogs and cat were turned over to the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter.
