Fond du Lac police are investigating the death of a Fond du Lac man found in the Fond du Lac River early Wednesday morning. Shortly before 3am Wednesday police and rescue personnel were called to the area of the Fond du Lac River at the dead end of John St, for a report of an intoxicated male subject who was in the river. Upon the Officers arrival, they found a 57-year-old Fond du Lac man in the Fond du Lac River with his head above the water. Police and Fire Rescue personnel were able to pull the subject from the river. The male subject was transported to St. Agnes Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The incident remains under active investigation.
