A Fond du Lac emergency room doctor says the methamphetamine-opioid epidemic is the worst illegal drug public health crisis he has seen in the last decade. Dr. Nathan Larson says he is seeing a significant increase in meth cases in Fond du Lac in the last couple of years. “I don’t think we see the light at the end of the tunnel yet. I don’t think we’ve seen the peak,” Dr. Larson told WFDL news. A town hall meeting addressing the increased use of meth locally was held last night at the Fond du lac Goodrich Little Theatre. Larson says the key is prevention because meth is such an addictive drug.
