Law enforcement say it’s a growing drug problem in the Fond du Lac area and they want to inform local residents in an effort to prevent it from getting worse. Fond du lac police and Drug Free Communities of Fond du lac County hosted a town hall meeting Thursday night at the Goodrich Little Theatre last night to kick off a prevention and awareness campaign regarding methamphetamine. Brad Dunlap of the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group Drug unit says heroin is still a problem, but meth is getting worse. “Parents, educators, professionals, you want to be cognizant that there’s something else out there. Its not heroin, its very different from heroin,” Dunlap told WFDL news. “Its like no other drug I’ve ever seen, to include heroin, as far as how fast the availability has increased in our area.”
