A retired union steward at the Lincoln Hills youth prison says a report that inmates stole a cellphone from a supervisor is a big concern. Sources say the inmates stole corrections unit manager, Rick Peterson’s cellphone and used it to call girls, take selfies and broadcast segments on Facebook Live. Retired union steward Doug Curtis says he’s also concerned that Peterson initially did not report the phone missing from his office. Curtis says the theft of a cellphone by inmates is a security concern. Peterson’s charger was found during a recent lockdown and search of the prison. Inmates gave him the phone back after Peterson told them he would end the lockdown of their unit if they would return the phone. Curtis was a guest on AM 1170s Between the Lines program.
