A downtown Fond du Lac business is one of five finalists in the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation’s Main Street Makeover contest. Annie’s Fountain City Café is in the running to win up to $10,000 in upgrades for their storefront. Owner, Ann Culver, says her business opened in January 2016 with a goal of creating a community gathering place in the heart of the downtown. The Café’s pay-it-forward wall allows customers to buy coffee or lunch for future visitors. Finalists were selected based on their business track record, vision for their future and potential for the makeover to have a positive impact on the Main Street district. The winner will be announced in January.
