Fond du lac County law enforcement will be out in force during the holidays looking for drunken drivers. The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign starts Friday and runs through January 1. Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says officers will patrol in greater numbers and for longer hours to discourage people from getting behind the wheel impaired. “Its just a focus on drunk driving. We continue to do our grant-funded mobilizations with extra deputies on the road. We ramp those deployments up,” Waldschmidt told WFDL news. Waldschmidt also encourages other motorists to report impaired drivers to law enforcement by calling 911.
