It’s the first official day of winter and snowy weather could make travel tricky for motorists Thursday. National Weather Service meteorologist Marcia Cronce says snow is in the forecast for Thursday and Thursday night for our listening area. Cronce says motorists should slow down and allow for extra time to reach your destination. Cronce says the snow will be falling with temperatures close to the freezing mark. “Its a temperature where salt is effective,” Cronce told WFDL news. “As long as the snow plows can keep up with steadier but lighter snow it should be okay. I would just allow extra time to reach your destination because it could be slippery in some spots.”
