The Fond du Lac Police Department is moving toward accreditation through the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group. Police Chief Bill Lamb says the process takes a couple of years to complete. Lamb says one of most critical components of the accreditation process is a review of the Department’s Mission Statement. Lamb says the department is meeting with a broad a cross section of the community to develop the mission statement. Lamb asked the city council for their input last week on basic questions such as :
- What should we do to have our greatest positive impact on our community?
- What do we need to do to make a difference in our community?
- What does it look like when we are successful?
