U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin says she is still hopeful a deal will be reached this year on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. Baldwin says the White House proposal to save DACA by adding money for a border wall and new restrictions to legal immigration is not a fair deal. “I think we need to take that challenge and work really hard to compromise and get a bipartisan solution that deals with the dreamers but also deals with some of the border security issues,” Baldwin told WFDL news. Baldwin made the comments during a stop in Fond du Lac.
