The Waupun Police Department says they may have to cancel a planned citizens police mini-academy if more people don’t sign up. Deputy police chief Jeremy Rasch says the free academy is open to Waupun area residents 18 years or older. But the deadline to sign up is Friday. Rasch says the academy offers an inside view of the police department and overview of many facets of law enforcement. The mini-academy will be held Wednesday nights beginning February 7 with the last session February 28. You can fill out an application on the Waupun Police Department’s website or at the Department at 16 East Main Street.
