3-8-18 waupun receives grant to study needs of aging population

Waupun has been selected to receive a grant to study the needs of an aging population.  City administrator Kathy Schlieve says Waupun is the state’s only municipality to receive the grant.  Schlieve says the $15,000 grant will be used to develop a plan to help older adults remain independent and also support  caregivers.  Schlieve says in conjunction with the grant, the city of Waupun partnered with Agnesian HealthCare to create the Waupun Coalition on Aging.  The coalition will conduct an assessment to create an inventory of existing services and resources and identify the needs of older adults.
