As the governor and state lawmakers work on school safety proposals, the North Fond du Lac School superintendent says any plan needs to be flexible. Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says he would be supportive of measures that would provide more money to schools or allow districts to exceed revenue limits for safety improvements. But Sadoff says there has to be more than just physical improvements to facilities or more police. “Schools are still in place where its about hope and opportunity,” Sadoff told WFDL news. “We can make them safer, but we still got to balance that. The biggest part for me is not just the tangible things but its about lets be kinder, lets teach tolerance, lets teach people about respect.”
