There are two new faces on the Fond du lac city council. Challenger Ben Giles was the top vote getter with 2,951 votes. Giles joins his father, Greg Giles, on the council. Challenger Donna Richards was also elected along with incumbents Karen Merkel and Kay Miller. There were three contested races for county board. Incumbent Gary Will defeated challenger Andrew Zuelke in District 2. Will was also elected mayor in Ripon. Michael Beer defeated Lowell Prill for the District 6 seat. Joseph Koch beat Tom Dornbrook in District 9. Michael Streetar was elected North Fond du lac village board president defeating fellow board member Keith King. Kim Pokorny defeated Stephen Chene for the at large seat on the Waupun School Board.
