It was a storm for the ages in Wisconsin this past weekend. National Weather Service meteorologist Ben Herzog says the storm dumped eight to ten inches of snow and ice in the Fond du lac area Saturday and Sunday, and closer to four inches of snow in southern Fond du lac and Dodge counties. “It was really pretty incredible,” Herzog told WFDL news. “Just kind of speaking about southern Wisconsin as a whole, to have this much rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow to happen in the middle of April and then you put all the wind we had on top of that, pretty incredible and a giant headache for people.” Herzog says further north a blizzard dumped close to or more than two feet of snow. Several area schools are either starting two hours late Monday or are closed.
