MILWAUKEE (AP) — A person familiar with the search tells The Associated Press that San Antonio Spurs assistant Becky Hammon plans to interview for the Milwaukee Bucks' coaching job. The person requested anonymity because the team does not comment on potential candidates. Hammon would become the first female head coach in the league if hired.

5-4-18 heavy rain floods several roads in fdl county

Heavy rain has flooded several roads throughout Fond du lac County.  Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says portions of Subway Road in the  town of Friendship and Townline  Road near Lamartine were closed.   Kinker Road, Lakeshore Drive, Shultz and Lincoln Roads,  also had flooding.    A large tree was uprooted and fell across Highway G near Highway 67.   Waldschmidt motorists should avoid driving around any barricades that have been erected where […]

5-4-18 nfdl schools starting two hours late due to flooding

Heavy rain has flooded some area streets and school is starting two hours late in North Fond du Lac.  Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says street flooding in the village has made travel and walking not safe at this time.  Some area residents are reporting basement flooding.

5-4-18 fdl boy treated for leg injury after being struck by car while riding skateboard

A Fond du Lac boy escaped serious injury when he was struck by a car was riding his skateboard.  The accident happened shortly after 7pm Thursday at the intersection of Park Avenue and Division Street.  Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue’s Troy Haase says the boy was treated for a lower leg injury.  Haase says it’s a reminder that kids and motorists need to be aware of their surroundings.

Initial lab tests on dead fish found in Lake Winnebago indicate a probable outbreak of VHS, a virus that affects a wide range of fish species.
