5-4-18 oshkosh man convicted in fatal fdl county crash

An Oshkosh man has been convicted  in connection with a fatal traffic crash in Fond du Lac County a little more than a year ago.  As part of a plea agreement, Jonathan Vogel, pleaded no contest to homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.  A reckless homicide charge was dismissed and read into the record.  A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.   Sheriff’s investigators say Vogel was the driver of a car that rolled over on Highway 26 north of Willow Creek Road and burst into flames. Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says a  passenger, 21 year old Whitney Domer of Oshkosh  was pronounced dead at the scene.
