The Fond du Lac County Emergency Management Department has been following the refinery explosion in Superior to review their emergency response to the disaster.  Fond du Lac County Emergency Management director Bobbie Hicken says while there are no refineries locally, there are other potential dangers that could  force  a mass evacuation should there happen to be a spill or explosion.  “There are chemicals that come through the community through the rail system, transportation, through semis.  Many of our facilities have chemicals,”  Hicken told WFDL news.  “If something happens and there is an accident and it is not contained, something like that is definately something to be concerned about.”  Hicken says in the event of a man-made or natural disaster locally,  emergency management would help coordinate law enforcement and first responders/  In Superior residents within a three mile radius of the plant were evacuated.  Hicken says locally an evacuation would depend on the number of residents and location that would be affected/
