A Waupun man convicted of sexually assaulting a three year old boy has been found dead in his prison cell.    Sources told WFDL news  28 year old  Robert Moungey was found hanging in his cell at Green Bay Correctional Institution.   A state Department of Corrections spokesman says an internal investigation has begun but did not confirm the cause of death.  Moungey  was serving a 31 year prison sentence for […]

5-4-18 oshkosh girl killed in car vs. bike accident

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Oshkosh police say a 4-year-old girl riding her bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle.  The crash happened just after 2 p.m. Thursday.  Police say emergency medical personnel took the girl to a hospital, where she died. Her name was not immediately released.  The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

5-4-18 fdl man charged in heroin overdose death

A Fond du Lac man is charged in the heroin overdose death of a 29 year old woman.   Forty six year old Shannon Carlson is charged with first degree reckless homicide in the September 2014 death of Jenna Reynolds.  Bail was set at $100,000 cash.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 11.   He is accused of supplying the heroin that led to Reynold’s death at a Royal Avenue residence.

5-4-18 oshkosh man convicted in fatal fdl county crash

An Oshkosh man has been convicted  in connection with a fatal traffic crash in Fond du Lac County a little more than a year ago.  As part of a plea agreement, Jonathan Vogel, pleaded no contest to homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.  A reckless homicide charge was dismissed and read into the record.  A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.   Sheriff’s investigators say Vogel was the driver of a […]
