The Fond du Lac Public Works director says its appears the city of Fond du Lac dodged a bullet at least for now when it comes to water main breaks during the recent cold snap. Public Works director Jordan Skiff says that was his biggest fear during last week’s extreme deep freeze. “In my opinion we’ve kind of dodged a bullet with that extreme temperature and the possibility not just for more water main breaks but the extreme conditions our employees would be trying to correct those breaks in,” Skiff told WFDL news. Skiff also says there were no flooding problems reported during the rapid snowmelt Sunday and Monday.
