2-28-19 fdl ymca director stepping down

The Fond du Lac YMCA director is leaving.     Greg Giles tweeted Wednesday that he has resigned his position in Fond du Lac to accept the position of Chief Advancement Officer for the YMCA of Greater Houston.  Giles also serves on the Fond du Lac city council.  He is not running for re-election.

2-27-19 fdl man receives non life-threatening gunshot wound to leg

One person was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries following a shooting incident in Fond du lac.  It happened Tuesday afternoon near the D&D Tavern in the area of Division St. and Lincoln Avenue.  Police say a 25 year old Fond du Lac was treated at St. Agnes Hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg.   Police have identified the suspect as  Mohamed Elmdahti.   A temporary felony arrest […]

2-27-19 watertown business destroyed by fire

WATERTOWN, Wis. (AP) — Officials say a large fire at an implement repair business in Watertown caused about $1 million in damage.  At least ten additional agencies helped Watertown firefighters at Waupun Equipment Co. Monday. Watertown Fire Chief Kraig Biefeld says the source of the fire that destroyed the building was an oil burner. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democratic Wisconsin Gov. (AP) — A bipartisan proposal in the Wisconsin Legislature attempts to lower prescription drug costs and provide more information to consumers about the true cost of their medication.  The bill unveiled Tuesday targets middlemen called pharmacy benefit managers.
