2-26-19 oshkosh resident involved in i-41 crash says “I thought I was going to die”

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities have identified a 30-year-old teacher as the person killed in a massive pileup in Wisconsin. Winnebago County Sheriff John Matz on Monday identified Andrew Schefelker of Oshkosh as the victim of Sunday's 131-vehicle pileup on Interstate 41. Matz says Schefelker was a middle school/high school science teacher in the Iola-Scandinavia School District. High winds knocked down power lines in Fond du Lac Sunday.  Fire chief Pete O’Leary  says fighfighters responded to two separate calls for power lines down in the city of Fond du lac Sunday morning.  O’Leary says it’s a reminder that if you see downed power lines, stay away from them and call authorities.
