A spokesperson for a Wisconsin immigrant rights group is applauding the Governor’s proposal to allow undocumented immigrants to obtain drivers licenses and identification cards. Josue Devalos says the money will strengthen the state’s economy and families. “Most of the people that fit in that group are the working class,” Devalos told WFDL news. “They do most of the jobs in Wisconsin many people aren’t willing to do and they do it to move Wisconsin forward and in order to do that they need reliable transportation.” Devalos says regardless of what happens it feels good to have a governor that has the back of immigrants living in the state.
