The North Fond du lac police chief says its fortunate that nobody was hurt following an armed standoff this week. Chief Darren Pautsch says police were called Wednesday morning to a residence on Wisconsin Avenue for a report of an intoxicated man who had armed himself and made threats to harm himself. The Sheriff’s SWAT team was also called. Pautsch says after about four hours the man surrendered without incident.
