A portion of Macy Street near downtown Fond du Lac remains closed several days after some bricks fell off a building. Public Works director Jordan Skiff says inspectors are still trying to determine why about a dozen bricks fell off the Macy Mini Mall building, just south of Model Cleaners Sunday. “The building inspector and community development office are working with the owners of the building to get a full sense of what the concern is and how severe the concern is,” Skiff told WFDL news. Skiff says Macy Street will remain closed until authorities determine that its safe to travel in the area near that building. There were no injuries or damage to vehicles or other property reported.
