Dodge County residents are encouraged to drop off their unwanted or expired prescription medications this weekend at the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office. On Saturday April 27 the Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the statewide Drug Take Back event. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says between 9am and 3pm you can dispose of prescription medication in the drug drop box in the lower level of the Sheriff’s Office. Schmidt says the Drug Take Back event helps keep the community safe by disposing of the medications to keep them out of the hands of those they are not intended for. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office drop box is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
