The city of Fond du Lac is planning a special electronic waste recycling program next month.  Public Works director Jordan Skiff tells WFDL news while the city usually refers residents to take e-waste to a local store for disposal,  the city will also offer a free collection event for city residents  in May.   Meanwhile, Skiff says the city is also planning a second one-day household hazardous waste collection at the city’s municipal service center on October 1.  The county’s annual Clean Sweep event will be held from 9am to noon Saturday at  the County Highway Garage on Dixie Street.  A $5 fee is charged for households and farms.  Items that will NOT be collected include electronics, latex paint, explosives, ammunition, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, propane tanks, light bulbs and needles.
