A Fond du Lac woman who was pulled unconscious from a burning house Sunday afternoon has died. Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says the woman the woman was pronounced dead at the hospital and an autopsy will be conducted to determine if she died from smoke inhalation. Firefighters were called to the scene at 29 Woods Place Sunday afternoon and found the woman in a bedroom during a search of the home. Haase says there was one smoke alarm that was barely audible. Haase says the occupant had contacted law enforcement dispatch on an unrelated matter earlier that morning. He says while the fire could have been started by smoking materials, the cause has officially listed as undetermined.
